Mai mult sau mai putin intamplator ;) am ales pentru episodul de azi al telenovelei mele rock (la o zi dupa 4 July) o trupa americana de rock alternativ/punk rock care desi s-a lansat prin anii '90 a cunoscut un succes urias in primii ani ai noului mileniu cu albumul lor "American Idiot" - lansat (culmea ironiei) cu cateva zile inainte de realegerea lui George W. Bush! - vandut in peste 5 milioane de exemplare numai in S.U.A.  Fiindca se pot lauda cu 75 de milioane de albume vandute in lumea intreaga, cei de la Green Day pot fi considerati una dintre cele mai bine vandute trupe, iar la succesul comercial se adauga numeroase premii, de la Grammy la Tony Awards.
